I don’t know why I decided to reread this but I’m s;ellsinger I did. What I mostly enjoyed about this series is the fact that when he played spellsingeg instrument, he would play familiar rock songs from our world, with the resulting consequences.

A nice new twist in this one was a brief return to JonTom’s world. Books by Alan Dean Foster. Just take it for what it is and enjoy the silly little thing.

The onward marching plot from the first few books is now well and truly replaced with “books in a bottle” where a fresh calamity is created and resolved within one book.
