In these times, a divorced woman is shunned from polite society and is converted to being a persona non grata. Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. I liked it, but it felt drejer the spark in the book was badely. He assumed the worst, they were divorced, whoever he wants to sleep with in the meantime, whatever. Infidelity is a theme which I almost never see done with enough insight to generate empathy for the perpetrator.
Copyrt 1 star. All this to say, if you’re writing historical, please take longer than two paragraphs to mess up the facts.
I suppose the author wants us to think that Jack has matured and is more open to thinking now instead of impulsive reactions. Though not a fan of espionage and war and cloak and daggger novels, I find myself very much immersed in this wileen, wanting to dig into the bottom of the story as much as the main characters do.
Louis with her husband, children, and large and noisy Irish family, of which she is the reluctant matriarch. It was like I was unraveling a great mystery which I loved. This book felt more like a historical fiction in some areas, which I hav 4.

I didn’t find it overly spicy. How could she trust him again after what he did to her? To save themselves and the friends who have given them sanctuary, they must stand against their enemies, even as they both keep their secrets. Jack and Olivia needed some growing up to do, while harsh and sad, in their pains and trials, they found an even stronger even more powerful love, and when faced with any challenge- would be standing together through thick and thin.
This book will be enjoyable to re-read as it is a complex, well written and multi-layered story, with best of all a HEA!
Never a Gentleman The hero is the quintessential golden-haired frat boy that was never told no by anyone. Buy Barely a Lady: It was mostly Olivia, with a little bit of Jack thrown in. Yes, we girls should stick together.

The story would not have worked either if the h had been drawn as a ladyy push over, who too easily forgave the very reprehensible behaviour of the H.
But as he slowly begins to recover his memory, everyone realizes there is more to his story than they ever thought possible. I took to Olivia almost immediately.
Why, she’s the mysterious woman that the hero, Jack, is enamored with throughout the majority of the novel, even while his feelings for Olivia his ex-wife are rekindled. Then there was Jack’s creepy cousin Gervaise, who is down right evil in the things he’s done to her, but aside from Mimi the mysterious mistress spy killing him in the end, no one else gives him his just desserts. But for someone who won’t be reading any further in the series, it was a confusing ending. But when Grace takes back her ex-husband, it made me lose all respect for her.
