I assume that most managers could find someone they could relate to in the book, but the star is still absolutely clear, the professor Richard Silver whom I wouldn’t doubt is derived a lot from Goldratt’s own life and experiences. While I’m still a bit confused about some of the things put forth in the book, I must say that this is easily the best format I have ever read for a business book.
It also highlights and overcomes the business schools’ inability to teach relevant m.goldrqtt know-how, applicable in the industry. Most of Critical Chain feels like a presentation or a lecture, especially the section that is the characters attending the significant lecture that coincides with the book’s title.
We still PM same as ever, with the same problems described. Highly recommended for any production or systems engineering focused person as it will help you improve overall efficiency if you follow the concepts m.foldratt the book.

A great project management application story of Theory of Constraints. However some of the relationships are subtle and the differences are important. I secretly hoped the Critical Chain method to provide logical proof to the agile community’s intuitive findings.
